EA UPDATE ROSTER MOVEMENTS GUIDE (11/4/10)

Free Agents

NHL

AHL

OHL

QMJHL

WHL

Elitserien

SM-Liiga

DEL

O2 Extraliga

NLA

Missed Affiliations

*Note: You will notice that many of the moves in this guide cannot be completed when you try them because of too few players or goalies, or even too many players or goalies, on a certain team. I recommend not removing players to Free Agents until all other players that need to be put on each team are completed. After that, CAPs will need to be made to fill teams so that you can take all Free Agents off of teams. Be patient and I'll be diligent!

  1. Missed Lilja on Detroit to Free Agents, and Note that Lehtinen retired. Salei is on Belarus to Detroit, Modano is on West All Stars to Detroit.

  2. From screwing around with BAGM mode, I noticed a lot of the Euro prospects are not properly tied to their team (Paajarvi-Svennson, Ekman-Larrsson, Markstrom). Also is Filatov in the game? I meant to check and then got distracted.

  3. Scooter McCracken? Another Make-A-Wish kid?

Either way.. why not just do what I do and edit their ratings all the way down to the minimum?

Is there any negative to doing this? This is what I did and I just left them in the FA Pool. I figure, if they somehow get signed, then at least they would play realistically compared to real Pro hockey players.

  4. One movement you missed was transferring Belanger from LA to WSH.

  5. Belanger was traded from LA to Washington last season. He is currently unsigned as an Unrestricted Free Agent.

  6. What do you suggest doing for the OHL teams to maintain 18 skaters, it wouldnt let me move players to NHL/AHL because it would leave too few skaters

  7. What I did was put players from other OHL teams that were going to be put in free agents on random teams throughout the CHL. Its the only way to do it right now until I am able to make CAPs for those leagues.

  8. You forgot to move Eddie Lack from Brynas over to Manitoba. He is already in Penticton playing in the young stars tournament and is expected to fight with Shantz and Weiman for the 2 spots in Manitoba.

Also Jacob Markstrom from Brynas will be coming over to play this season in the NHL or AHL.

  9. They weren't forgotten by me! They were forgotten by EA - they aren't in the game!

  10. Oh and almost forgot Lee Sweatt isn't associated with the Canucks in the game and should also be moved onto Manitoba

  11. Really? I havent played in a few days been busy with wrok and was waiting for you to finish updating all the leagues so I could do the same before I play.

Thats a huge blunder from Ea especially on Markstrom since he's one of the top prospects in the world

  12. He too was left off the game by EA! Just a reminder guys please check the game or the site before requesting/suggesting stuff so comments don't get flooded.

  13. Just wondering if you are planning on fixing the players type in the NHL rosters as I can see some danglers still in there and no TWF, as well TWD.

  14. Does anyone know why the xbox 360 download rosters link isn't working? It keeps giving me "page not found"

  15. I know I know I know!!! Because there isn't a roster up yet as we've just recently found out how to get around EA's roster transfer block! It's being worked on and will be released this weekend.

  16. Just quick thought...

Have you given any thought to the idea of creating a few custom teams to "act" as the KHL and/or other leagues not in the game.

Just so that the free agent pool really consists only of actual free agents and not guys signed to play in other leagues..

I know this is REALLY nitpicking but I just wanted to know if you thought of this and whether you would know the Pros & Cons of it.

  17. radie - im not 100% sure that it works that way, if anyone knows that it does for sure let us know because i am interested in that!

  18. Ogie's plan is to create random teams to put the retired & overseas players on to free them from the FA pool. That's the plan at least, like skrody said we aren't 100% sure if that will work as we hope it to, but man it would be wonderful to not have a million FAs listed. I really wish EA at least sorted them by position or something like they have in years past!

  19. for players signing AHL contracts or moving to european leagues could you list if we should keep their current affiliation or make them free agents because some of the players aren't signed to NHL contracts and some are

  20. also for the random teams idea it doesn't work well because the max amount of players it can have is 23 and you have to have 18 players and 2 goalies when u make the team and those 20 duplicates can't be deleted. But duplicates 21-23 can be deleted.

I was able to get about 1 full random team because i just duplicated players I feel should be on the east and west allstars and filled their rosters to 30 players each while taking out a few players who I felt that didn't belong there.

I made 3 other duplicated teams full of duplicated players to get rid of all the retired players

  21. All AHL contracts are marked in the AHL roster guide. No player signed to an AHL contract is owned by an NHL team. Same with Euro players. If they are RFAs they're NHL rights are marked under the NHL Rights section of the individual roster guides. What more information are you looking for Rony?

  22. I have a friend who's a Panthers fan and he told me Salak was still the Panthers property and was only loaned to Farjestad but your guide doesn;t say he is still Florida's property like it does for players who move to Europe and remain property of an NHL team.

Which made me wonder if there were other players like that. I'm pretty sure the Canucks still own Walsky's rights too now that I think about it as I remember reading an article saying they made him a qualifying offer.

  23. Anyone know where Llari Filppula is? Not on Grand Rapids, and I cant find him in the SM-Liga.
