Hello all.
So far I've been able to complete all of the moves required for the NHL, AHL and Free Agents List, as well as those necessary to fit players on their Euro team if necessary. I'll be out of town tomorrow, but the rest of the week/weekend (outside of work) will be dedicated to this site and to finishing the Euro league transactions and beginning the CAPs.
WHAT WOULD YOU GUYS LIKE TO SEE OUT OF THIS SITE?? PLEASE GIVE US SOME FEEDBACK AS TO WHAT YOU, THE FANS, WOULD LIKE TO SEE US DO IN ORDER TO MAKE THIS GAME BETTER!! COMMENT ON THIS POST OR EMAIL US!!
will you have a downloadable roster for the 360 any time soon?
ReplyDeleteIt would be cool if you added a fan made custom covers page to the site that's well organized by team and moderated for quality.
ReplyDeleteJosh - yes once everything is complete and there's enough to put out our first update, we will be having one in around a week's time. We are going to try much harder this year to get more updates out. I personally don't have a transfer kit for 360 so I cannot post my own rosters, so we rely on Ogie for them. He's begun his first update already. We are looking for someone with a PS3 whod be willing to be our source for an downloadable PS3 version as well. Any takers??
ReplyDeleteConnor - I think that's a great idea! I will set up a section this weekend that we can keep all of the submitted custom covers in. Would anyone be interested in being the official custom cover maker for our site? Email us!

I'd be interested in seeing you adjust the ratings of players so they make more sense. For instance, how did Rob Niedermayer (sp?) become an 82? Or, how is James Sheppard an 81?
ReplyDeleteFor the 360, you should be able to use a USB drive and copy the roster file directly off the box, and put onto the computer and then hosted locally or somewhere like mediafire (recommended) I never tried yet, but it is on my "to-do" list with NHL 11.
ReplyDeletePetr, nice new site - it looks clean and follows the same good format you had before. And of course, black is always nice
ReplyDeleteSomething I'd like to see an improvement in from last year is with the prospects. Someone like Nino Niederreiter, who was highly touted at the draft, was rated poorly and had low potential. I understand that early in the season he wasn't on everybody's radar, so updates that coincide with mid-season and and end-of-season prospect rankings would be a welcome addition. just a thought
Is there a way to edit the Kovalchuk contract? I have already edited his info in Creation to make his salary 7.5 mill.
ReplyDeleteThe problem is when I go into GM mode his contract ends with NJ during the first free-agency so the new 15-year contract is not included in the game.
dustin - eventually we'll be getting around to doing ratings adjustments. there are some guys who are WAY overrated in the minors and we'll be getting to all of them. the only issue with that is that is very subjective, and his combination of skills COULD give him a resulting overall to 82. we're going to try our best to get that done though.
ReplyDeleteC - i tried this yesterday. the save winds up to be 4 gigs when you put it onto a PC. we havn't had anyone to test it with since PetrPuck only has a 2 gig flash drive. it's pretty crazy and would take a long time to download, BUT if it ends up working we ARE going to do it.
NHL10 Blackhaws - Yeah there are alot of guys in the CHL who are underrated. Once the 2011 CHL season starts and we get the CAPs made to fill the teams, we're going to do ratings adjustments also -- and that includes potentials.
Connor - editing the years, nope. sadly :( i think its a NHLPA issue that wont let that in the game.
Please get a PS3 roster up soon!
ReplyDeleteI would love you forever if you could post the default roster attributes for every nhl player. I know thats a lot, but i know i'd visit your site every day if you did (i'm in a sim league)
ReplyDeletehopefully someone can figure out how to use the usb to import petrpuck rosters on to the 360 cause this site's rosters are the best on the net and makes the game actually way more enjoyable to play. thank you guys for all your hard work.
ReplyDeleteOne thing that would be interesting is if you guys could create prospects that are playing in college. There's quite a bit of them, and it sucks to play Be A GM without having some of the team's best prospects anywhere in the game.
ReplyDeletePersonally I grew up watching college hockey at St. Lawrence University every year. I love college hockey and plan on making a bunch of the prospects actually. I want to, at some point, make each teams top ten prospects and then a bunch of college kids also. Go SLU!!
ReplyDeleteNo EA roster update for me. I will create all your CAPs myself. You guys are the best... Thanks a lot for doing this !
ReplyDeleteAlso, when you will be done with roster movements, can you add Michael Liambas and Ryan Schnell to your CAP list ? I really want them for my BAGM pre-season. I'm with Montreal and play the Rangers, with guys like Soryal and Didiomete in the line-up.
ReplyDeleteThanks !
