ROSTER DOWNLOAD INFO

OK folks, here's the news.

I have gone through the AHL, DEL, & Czech leagues so far (and yes I have made an updated roster movements guide based on the update, but I am not going to continually update both, so be sure once you complete the Update Roster Movements Guide, that you revert to the original). With that, I've discovered that nearly 230 players are missing from the AHL after EA's player rights debacle (more info below). The CAP limit is not going to allow us to add everyone in now... so we'll have to come up with some means of getting everything proper before releasing a half-assed update.

Click here for the Roster Movements Guide based on EA's November 4th, 2010 "updated" roster download.

There are some programs you'll need to install in order to get your roster file to work. We will include them in the roster file package download. Thanks goes out to Andrew for creating a "How To" video for you all as well.

About the AHL "updated" rosters:
99% of the rookie CAPs and CHL players that are now in the AHL, were left out of the update. By left out, I mean either not created, or completely removed from the game. EA claims that they were unable to get a single one of the 230ish players to sign his PHPA licensing agreement to allow his likeness in the game. Under the CHL, they were allowed to be in, but now that they're in the AHL, EA no longer holds the rights to those players under any license. I'd be shocked to see a legitimate update out of EA before New Years! You guys are lucky to have us around to make up for EAs lackluster efforts.

  1. Are you working with the 2nd or the 4th's rosters? Word on the EA boards is the 11/2 update has problems with Dynasty mode in that tons of stars stay in the AHL after the preseason ends. If the former, have you tested your roster to see if this is an issue?

  3. I know --at times --I have been a pain. However, I really appreciate your professionalism and contributions to this great sport--through this great game.I wouldn't mind starting a game of our own. I think I could supply funding.

  4. we haven't posted a file for download yet. It is in the works and Ogie has told me that on Tuesday he'll have it completed. We wanted today but with 230 missing guys that we weren't anticipating, its turned out to be quite a bit more work!

  5. Petr,

So you will be re-adding in all of the players deleted in EA's roster file (e.g. Kyle Beach), correct?

  6. We're adding in edited versions (that you can find to the left under "EDITED PLAYERS"). Unfortunately, we won't have enough CAPs to add in everyone they left out, but all the major guys (Beach, Hodgson, yada yada) will be added in, up to the maximum number of players we can fit with the CAP limit being around 175 or so. AHL only contracted players, and current NHL contracted ECHLers (unless already in the game obviously) will probably be the odd men out.

  7. So the update will be posted Tuesday? What will we need for this?

  8. A USB formatted for your XBox, or a transfer kit. Video instructions will be included in the download, along with everything you'll need in order to get the roster working.

  9. Will you still be releasing a roster update for the 360 petr?

Its just i noticed you put up a lot more CAP's and thought you might have scrapped the update so people would edit for themselves.

Forgive me if this has been covered somewhere i haven't seen it.

    thanks
